Tina is currently an Assistant Team Manager for a Southwest Local Authority Social Work Team. She is a Practice Educator and has previously worked for Independent Fostering Agencies and other local authorities. She is a Cornell University-trained Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer. Tina is a co-founder of STaSS, an HIV and Mental health charity in Milton Keynes.

Tina is also the founder of TLJ Associates Ltd, a social care company that provides support services, training, and Consultancy services to other social workers and social care companies.

Tina is a Patron and an Executive member for several community groups in Milton Keynes. She is a recipient of several awards for her Philanthropic work, including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Equality Award (2012) and a Black Female Pioneer award during the Black History events in Milton Keynes (2023).

Tina is a member of the Thames Valley Police Independent Advisory Group (TVP-IAG) and sits on their scrutiny panel to provide constructive feedback on Stop and Search video footage.

MS TINA LATIFAH JONES

Emefa Awo Dei-Alorse is a highly experienced and dedicated social work professional with over twenty years (20) of progressive practice within government, non-governmental organizations, and charitable institutions across Ghana. She brings extensive frontline and community-based experience, having worked closely with vulnerable children, families, women, and marginalised communities to deliver sustainable support, advocacy, and empowerment initiatives in institutions like the Department of Social Welfare TDC, Tema, and other agencies.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with Sociology and an EMBA in Human Resource Management, all from the University of Ghana, Legon, where I developed a strong academic foundation in social policy, human behaviour, community development, and research methods.

EMEFA AWO DEI-ALORSE

Jemimah Beauty Boateng is a dedicated Senior Social Worker with the Northamptonshire Local Authority in the UK, bringing over five years of professional experience in social work practice across diverse teams and settings. She has worked extensively within the Looked After Children’s Team, Leaving Care Teams, Unaccompanied Minors/Asylum Seekers Team, and the Court Team, demonstrating a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people.

Her professional contributions extend beyond frontline practice. In June 2023, Jemimah co-authored the Recruitment Standards for International Social Workers as part of the Special Interest Group (SIG) of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW UK). She is also an active mentor and supporter of international social workers, particularly those from Ghana, through her involvement with the Ghana Association of Social Workers in the Midlands, UK (GHASWA). Her guidance has helped many professionals successfully register with Social Work England and transition into practice in the UK.
